Our hands-on verdict
Coastal Haven specializes in mid-priced outdoor furniture sold direct-to-consumer, cutting out the markup of big-box patio departments. The 4-Piece Wicker Set includes two armchairs, a loveseat, and a glass-top coffee table, all built on powder-coated aluminum frames wrapped in synthetic resin wicker. We set it up on an uncovered patio and left it outdoors for a full four-month season to see how it aged.
Assembly took about 40 minutes for the full set using only the included hex key, mostly bolting legs onto the loveseat and chairs. The resin wicker is woven tightly with no loose ends or sharp edges, and the aluminum frame underneath feels solid rather than flexy when you sit down or shift your weight, a common failure point in cheaper sets that use hollow plastic frames instead.
Comfort is good but not plush: the seat cushions use a firm high-density foam wrapped in a solution-dyed polyester cover, which resists fading better than printed fabric but sits on the firmer side compared to indoor furniture. After four months of daily afternoon sun exposure, we saw only slight color fading on the cushions and none on the resin wicker itself.
Weather resistance was the real test. Through three heavy thunderstorms and one week of near-constant rain, the cushions dried within a few hours thanks to their quick-dry foam core, and we saw zero rust on any hardware or the frame, including the bolts. The glass tabletop held up fine, though we'd recommend a cover or moving it under an overhang for winter to protect against ice cracking.
The seating configuration works well for actual conversation rather than just looking good in photos, with the loveseat and two chairs angled toward the coffee table at a distance that makes it easy to talk without shouting. It comfortably seats four adults, or six in a pinch with the chairs pulled closer.
Coastal Haven includes a storage bag for the cushions, which we'd recommend using in winter even though the foam is weather-rated, since UV exposure over many seasons will eventually fade any outdoor fabric faster than seasonal storage would.
Pros and cons
What we liked
- Aluminum frame shows zero rust after a full rainy season
- Cushions dry quickly and resist noticeable fading
- Sturdy, stable feel with no wobble on any piece
- Straightforward 40-minute assembly with included tools
- Comfortable seating arrangement genuinely suited for conversation
- Strong value compared to similarly built name-brand sets
What we didn't
- Cushions are firmer than typical indoor furniture
- Glass tabletop needs protection from winter ice
- Only one color/weave option available at this price tier
- Loveseat is heavy and awkward for one person to move alone
Features that matter
Rust-proof aluminum frame
Unlike steel frames that eventually rust through the powder coat, the aluminum skeleton under the wicker won't corrode even with years of rain exposure, making it a better long-term investment for uncovered patios in humid or coastal climates.
Quick-dry cushion foam
The high-density foam core has an open-cell structure that lets water drain and air circulate, so cushions dry within a few hours of rain instead of staying soggy for days like standard indoor-style foam would.
Tightly woven resin wicker
The synthetic wicker is UV-stabilized and woven densely enough to resist snagging or unraveling, holding its color through a full season of direct sun without the brittleness that cheap PVC wicker develops within a year or two.
Tempered glass coffee table
The tabletop uses shatter-resistant tempered glass set into an aluminum-framed base, providing a stable surface for drinks and food that's easy to wipe clean and won't warp or discolor like wood alternatives.
Included cushion storage bag
A zippered, weather-resistant storage bag ships with the set, making it simple to stow cushions during winter or extended trips to extend their lifespan well beyond what year-round outdoor exposure would allow.

What to consider before you buy
Frame material determines real lifespan
Aluminum resists rust indefinitely and stays lightweight, steel is stronger but needs a quality powder coat to avoid corrosion over time, and hollow resin or plastic frames are cheapest but can crack or flex under weight. Check the frame material specifically rather than trusting general 'weatherproof' marketing claims.
Cushion foam type affects comfort and drying
Quick-dry open-cell foam sheds water and dries fast but tends to feel firmer than closed-cell or standard upholstery foam. If comfort matters more than weather resistance, look for thicker cushions or add indoor-style cushions you bring in during rain.
UV exposure ages fabric faster than most buyers expect
Even solution-dyed, UV-treated fabrics will fade over several seasons of full sun exposure. Covered patios or pergolas extend fabric life significantly, and a cushion storage routine for winter months is one of the cheapest ways to protect your investment.
Measure your space before buying a full set
Conversation sets look compact in photos but often need more clearance than expected once you account for walking space around the table and chairs pulled back from it. Measure your patio footprint and compare it against the full assembled dimensions, not just individual piece sizes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can this furniture stay outside year-round?
The aluminum frame and resin wicker can stay outdoors year-round in most climates, but we recommend covering or storing the cushions and glass tabletop during winter to protect against ice damage and extend fabric life.
How much weight can each chair hold?
Each armchair and the loveseat are rated for up to 300 lbs per seating position, which is standard for this class of aluminum-frame outdoor furniture.
Does the resin wicker fade in direct sun?
We saw no visible fading on the wicker itself after four months of daily sun exposure, thanks to UV-stabilized resin. The cushion fabric showed only slight fading over the same period.
How long does assembly take?
Assembling the full 4-piece set took about 40 minutes using only the included hex key, mostly attaching legs to the loveseat and chair frames.
Is the glass tabletop safe if it breaks?
Yes, it uses tempered glass, which is designed to break into small, relatively dull pieces rather than sharp shards if it's ever struck hard enough to shatter.
Do the cushions come with a cover for storage?
Yes, a zippered weather-resistant storage bag is included, which we recommend using during winter or extended vacancies to maximize cushion lifespan.
Will this set fit through a standard doorway if I need to move it?
The individual chairs fit through standard 32-inch doorways without issue, but the loveseat is bulkier and may require tilting or removing cushions to clear a narrower doorway.
